Order Processing Times:

All orders are processed within seven (7) business days, with a few exceptions.  Exceptions can be due to things like, but not limited to, holidays, family illnesses, family emergencies, system failure/outages, etc. Remember that we are a small family-owned business, with one primary operator that runs the entire business.  We do our best to process orders as quickly as possible but need you to understand that things do come up that may cause minor delays in order processing and/or shipping.  Whenever possible, in the event processing times extend past a seven (7) business day turnaround time, a notice will be placed on the Koutz Farm website to announce potential delays; also, any pending orders will be reviewed, and associated customers will be provided with a courtesy notice with an option to cancel or keep the order in place.

Koutz Farm Store Shipping Policy:  

When shipping directly from Koutz Farm or from transactions processed through the Koutz Farm website store, we use a third-party webstore platform, and the webstore platform may or may not automatically calculate shipping costs.  If shipping costs cannot be calculated, a flat shipping rate will be applied; for this we use the USPS Price List to determine the appropriate flat rate shipping charges provided by the United States Postal Service.  Handling charges may also apply.  Handling charges vary depending on the specifications of the product being sent (type, dimensions, weight, packaging material requirements, supplier requirements, etc.).  See below for links to the USPS Price List and Zone Chart.

At times, we may use other shipping services such as UPS or FedEx; if used, they will show up under shipping options during the checkout process and shipping rates will be calculated by the respective price lists.  

Some products may ship from platforms such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Alibaba, Ali Express, Temu, Shein, Wish, etc.  This happens when Koutz Farm dropships from one of these shopping platforms or store warehouses.  

International Shipping Notice:  

When shipping directly from Koutz Farm or from transactions processed through the Koutz Farm website store, we do not offer International Shipping at this time. Koutz Farm currently ships merchandise to locations within the United States, including U.S. territories: Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  We are working to add International Shipping to our shopping webstore in the future.  

Customs, Duties And Taxes Policy:  

Koutz Farm is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).  

Shipment To P.O. Boxes Or APO/FPO Addresses:  

When using a third-party entity, Koutz Farm follows the third party's shipping policies.   

When using the Koutz Farm website's store or direct ship from Koutz Farm, we use USPS for most of the shipping services.  USPS does ship to P.O., A.P.O. and F.P.O. addresses; therefore, if the shipping method being used is USPS, we can ship to these types of addresses.  Other shipping companies do not usually allow shipping to P.O., A.P.O. or F.P.O. addresses.   

Free Shipping Offers/Promotions Notice: 

On occasion, Koutz Farm will offer free shipping on some products or in conjunction with a promotion or special offer.  When free shipping is available it will be promoted on the Koutz Farm website, store, associated web pages, and/or our social media channels and will be applied in the checkout process.  

Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking:  

Once an order is placed, the customer will receive an automated order confirmation email from the system.  This notification simply lets the customer know the order went through successfully and provides them with pertinent order information; Koutz Farm recommends saving this confirmation email until the customer is confident that the order has been delivered and they are satisfied with the product(s) and/or service(s) purchased.  

When the order is in the processing state, the customer may receive communication from Koutz Farm with questions, comments, concerns, answers to customer questions, and processing confirmations, etc.  These communications will usually be in the form of email; however, there may be times when text messages and/or phone calls may be more appropriate.  

After the order ships, the customer will receive an email with shipping confirmation and details.  A tracking number may be provided to the customer only if the shipping provider issues a tracking number for the shipment.      

Damages:

Koutz Farm is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier first.  If you cannot get a resolution from the shipment carrier, email us at [email protected] to file a claim.  We do not guarantee satisfactory results for claims when dealing with third party shipping companies. Koutz Farm’s general return policy states that you may return any unused/unopened products within thirty (30) calendar days from the date you receive the order. 

In general, when a product is managed by a third party, Koutz Farm follows the third party's return and cancellation terms and agreements.  The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and any restocking fees that may apply from the responsible third-party entity to which the product will be returned (for example, if the product came from one of our third-party and/or drop shipping providers and that provider charges a twenty percent (20%) restocking fee, the twenty percent (20% ) restocking fee is paid by you, the customer, making the return.  Not all third-party entities charge the same restocking fees.  Some of the responsible parties charge a restocking fee, some responsible parties charge the fee unless there are manufacturer defects, while others do not charge a restocking fee at all.  This varies from entity to entity.   

If the product originates (is created or manufactured) from Koutz Farm directly, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs incurred (shipping to the customer and returns from customer to Koutz Farm).  Koutz Farm does not charge a restocking fee on the products that originate(d) directly from Koutz Farm.  

It is important to note that any returns that have been used, display excessive wear, are dirty and/or stained, have excessive pet hair (or difficult to remove pet hair) on them, missing all or part of the contents that were included in the original order, or damaged at the fault of the customer, and/or have other signs of prolonged use will not be accepted for return.  The following exceptions apply to our return policy:  

>Some products are not able to be returned due to concerns about health and sanitation.  For these

items to be returned they must be in their original unopened packaging.

>Pet clothing cannot be returned due to concerns about health and sanitation. Due to the nature of these

products, returns are only accepted due to manufacturer defects.

>Koutz Farm uses various sources and suppliers for our products and services offered on our website

(koutzfarm.com), store (koutzfarm.shop), associated web pages and/or our social media channels. As such,

we have some sources that do not accept returns unless it is due to a manufacturer defect.

>Items cannot be returned due to color variations from the digital image compared to the physical

product. See our Colors And Product Display Notice And Policy for more information. 

>Some products are hand-crafted and/or customized. Due to the nature of these products, returns are

only accepted due to manufacturer defects.      

Any exceptions to our return policy will be noted on the product page under the product description for each affected product.  When restocking fees are applicable, Koutz Farm will make their best effort to note these fees in the product description.  Make sure to read the product description and other associated information on the product page carefully before placing your order.   

To complete a return, please contact Koutz Farm at [email protected] and use the email subject “Product Return Request”.  This subject line will flag us to expedite communication with you regarding this issue.  In your email to Koutz Farm, please make sure to include the date of your original order, your contact information, and the product name, description and why it needs to be returned.  If the return request is approved, we will reply with instructions on how and where to send your returned item.  If your return request is not approved, we will notify you with the reason.  All returned products must be sent via UPS, USPS, or FedEx and must have a tracking number. It is important to note that the customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs and any applicable restocking fees (usually around twenty percent (20%)).  Include the original invoice or packing slip in the return package. Once you have returned your item, please be patient while we process the return.  We must first validate that the returned product(s) meets the specifications to be accepted for return and then we must work with our sources and/or suppliers to return the item to them and pay them their restocking fees.  If your item meets the specifications to be accepted for return, please allow up to three (3) weeks after shipping your returned item for your refund to be applied.  In most cases, it does not typically take that long to issue a refund, but the refund time varies depending on the responsible third party's response time and return policies.   

If your item does not meet the specifications for return, we will notify you with a reason the item cannot be returned.  If the item has already been returned to us without going through the proper claim process and/or prior to claim processing review and the item is not approved for return, we will, at your expense, return the item back to you.   

If a product and/or service is purchased and is not as described on the website, your sole and exclusive remedy is to not use the product and/or service and to return the unused product for a refund for the original purchase price.  

Order Cancellations:

Regarding order cancellations, Koutz Farm allows order cancellations prior to the order being shipped out.  Once the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier, we cannot cancel the order.   

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and any restocking fees incurred due to the cancellation. Some third-party entities that Koutz Farm works with charge restocking fees and these fees are paid by the customer.  See the Returns section above (under this same title) for information concerning restocking fees.   

Agreement:

Use of the Koutz Farm website, store, and/or any associated web pages and/or the purchase of any product(s) or service(s) from the Koutz Farm website and/or store constitutes your agreement to be bound to our Returns And Cancellation Policy and any of our defined exceptions to this policy.  

All customers are bound by our Returns and Cancellation Policy that is in effect at the time a return claim is submitted and/or processed or a cancellation is applied.
